TNGC Munch

We will be changing the location of our munch starting with this Tuesday’s munch on January 12th. It will now be located at Katakana & Koko Sushi Bar at 2829 W Armitage Ave. Chicago, IL 60647.

The time will still be 7:30-9:30 p.m.

We are very excited about this new location! They will have their lunch menu available to our group as well as their regular menu. If sushi is not your thing they have many other options, such as soups, salads, tempura, fried rice, teriyaki, etc. The also have coffee, soda, water, tea, and desserts available. It is also BYOB.

Our group will be located on the right hand side (or west side) of the restaurant, as you enter. First time attendees can trust that we are the largest single group at the restaurant. If that doesn't identify us, just stand near the doorway until the waitstaff offers to seat you and ask them to direct you to "TNGC."

For directions to our new location: Please see the following link for the location map. Katakana & Koko Sushi Bar Location. The link will take you to Google maps and you can map the quickest route by car or public transportation.

For those of you taking public transportation:
The restaurant is located just a few blocks southwest of the California Blue Line stop, and can be easily accessed by the 52 and 73 buses (you can take the 73 bus from our old munch location). Please check the transit schedule for bus times.

Please pay for your food individually at the back register/counter. Also, patronizing the restaurant in some form is expected, as they have been very accomodating for us.

We hope to see you there!

Expected behavior
TNGC munches are meant to be first and foremost a social networking event. Not everyone who attends the munch is fully open, and some may suffer discrimination if unintentionally "outed." Therefore, we ask that members refrain from play of any kind, and avoid naming anyone they saw at the munch.

The munch should be considered an opportunity to meet like-minded people and forge friendships.

Cost
Our locations have been generous enough to host us. For the weekly much, patronizing the venue is expected, you don't have to buy much, just a tea soda or appetizer.

Proof of age
You must bring a Legal Form of photo ID with to show you're between the ages 18 and 35 (if your partner is over 35 you may bring them in with you). Once your inside you can go by whatever name you want.

Dress code
All of our public events must be street legal.
